Wake Us Up

The “Good News” is only good news if it gets there in time. This is why I pray. This is why I give. This is why I go.

In the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia alone, there are 37-43 unreached people groups who have never, ever heard the lifesaving message and hope of the Gospel!

Here's the heart-wrenching truth: 70,000+ people die every single day who have never heard the Gospel.

Every saved person this side of heaven owes the gospel to every lost person this side of hell. Knowing Jesus is the basic human right.

The price is certainly high for people who don’t know Christ and who live in a world where Christians shrink back from self-denying faith and settle into self-indulging faith. While Christians choose to spend their lives fulfilling the American dream instead of giving their lives to proclaiming the kingdom of God, literally billions in need of the Gospel remain in the dark.
— David Platt

Why have we kept Jesus from people for so long?

Oh, Jesus, wake us up! Open our eyes. Open our ears. Open our hearts. We can no longer keep the nations waiting. We've been silent & caught up in a "Christianized" version of the American Dream of selfishness & self-gain for long enough.

"But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” - Ephesians 5:13-16
